The New York State Comprehensive Course Catalog is based upon the National Center for Education Statistics鈥 . It is reviewed and revised annually. LEAs are required to map locally-defined course codes to state codes when reporting to the SIRS.
2026-27 NYS Comprehensive Course Catalog Workbook
This workbook includes all state-approved codes and descriptions听for secondary and prior-to-secondary courses. The 鈥淐hange Tracker鈥 tab shows additions, removals, and modifications made since the prior year. LEAs are encouraged to use this workbook to ensure that state course codes accurately reflect the Course Level (Secondary or Prior-to-Secondary) before submitting data to the SIRS. 听

The SCED Course to Certification Crosswalk
The Course to Certification Crosswalk contains mappings of courses to certifications that are considered allowable for teaching them. LEAs should review use this workbook prior to making teaching assignments to ensure that teachers are appropriately certified.
2026-27 SCED Course to Certification Crosswalk Workbook
Course and certification matches in the Crosswalk are compared to course instructor data reported in the SIRS and active certification data maintained in the TEACH System to build the SIRS-328 Staff Out of Certification Report. Counts and percentages of staff found to be teaching out of certification through this process are reported annually in 小妲己直播鈥檚 School Report Cards.
